This program is designed for people in, or about to commence a supervisory or managerial role

The aim of this program is to recognise and develop your supervisory/managerial skills by assisting you with knowledge relevant to today's business.
Certificate III in Business (Frontline Management) encompasses 4 core units plus 2 elective units.

Successful completion of this course will allow participants to further their studies up to Diploma level.

There are two ways in which you can participate in this program:

1. Funded by the Government
2. Pay for this course yourself

How to determine if you are eligible for Government funding:
  • If you have been employed for less than 3 months with your employer (Full time or permanent part time)
  • If you work a minimum of 15 hours per week
  • You do not hold a qualification higher than a certificate 2 (in any vocation, including diplomas and degrees) - (please phone us to clarify)

If you have determined that you are eligible, we can assist your employer to enrol you into this self paced course, where you will receive recognition for the training that your employer is implementing in the workplace.
If you do not fit the eligibility criteria for Government funded training, the fee for this course is $2500.00.

Core Units:

Organise Personal Work Priorities and Development (BSBCMN302A)
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to organise your own work schedules, monitor and obtain feedback on work performance and maintain required levels of competence.

Contribute to Effective Workplace Relationships (BSBFLM303B)
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to develop, establish and maintain effective workplace relationships and networks. It covers the activities of communication and representation.

Support Operational Plan (BSBFLM305B)
This unit covers the role of planning, implementing, monitoring and recording performance to achieve the business plans of the team/organisation. This key role is carried out to provide safe, efficient and effective products and services to customer satisfaction within the organisation's productivity & profitability plans.

Contribute to Team Effectiveness (BSBFLM312A)
This specifies the outcomes required by frontline managers to contribute to the effectiveness of the work team. It involves planning with the team to meet expected outcomes, developing team cohesion, participating in and facilitating the work team and communicating with the management of the organisation.

Maintain Workplace Safety (BSBCMN311A)
This unit is concerned with OHS responsibilities of employees with supervisory responsibilities to implement and monitor the organisation's Occupational Health Safety policies, procedures and programs and to meet legislative requirements.


Elective Units:

Provide Workplace Information & Resourcing Plans (BSBFLM306B)
This unit covers the importance of identifying, acquiring, analysing and using appropriate information to contribute to the effectiveness of the organisation's performance.

Support Continuous Improvement Systems and Processes (BSBFLM309B)
This unit covers the importance of the continious improvement process in achieving the organisation's objectives and influencing the on-going development of the organisation.

Support a Workplace Learning Environment (BSBFLM311A)
This unit covers the important role in encouraging and supporting the development of a learning organisation, by promoting a learning environment in which work and learning are integrated.

Deliver and Monitor a Service to Customers (BSBCMN310A)
This unit covers the role of ensuring that products and services are delivered and maintained to standards agreed by the organisation and the customer within the context of the organisation's policies and practices as well as legislation, conventions and codes of practice.

Support Innovation and Change (BSBCMN312B)
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to contribute ideas and models for improved work practices and to support the implementation of innovative work practices to effect positive change.



Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management)

This program is a General Managment Qualification and is therefore applicable to any industry.

This course is suitable for frontline managers and those who have been involved in frontline management and wish to formalise and enhance there skills. It is suitable for those expected to work autonomously, take responsibility and to provide leadership and guidance to others in the workplace.
