Assessment & Selection of Overseas Students


The Quality Training Company is committed to ethical, fair and inclusive assessment and selection of all prospective students. The Quality Training Company is also committed to providing all prospective students with the following information to ensure that their decision to apply to study with us is made with full knowledge of our:

  • Course entry requirements (academic and English proficiency requirements)

  • Accurate description of courses and outcomes

Age Requirement

Due to the requirement of students to handle alcohol and participate in gaming (gambling) training in the Hospitality Programmes that we offer, The Quality Training Company requires that all applicants to our Hospitality Programme be aged eighteen (18) years or over. You may apply for our Hospitality Programmes if you are seventeen (17) years old and due to turn eighteen (18) before or at the time of your arrival in Australia to commence the course.

English Language Proficiency Requirements

International students must satisfy The Quality Training company's English language proficiency requirements for admisson to one of its hospitality courses. The English language proficiency requirements are as follow:

  • the applicant's first language is English; or
  • the applicant has:

  1. sucessfully completed an Australian Year 12 programme; or
  2. sucessfully completed an English language course approved by The Quality Training Company from a registered English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) provider; or
  3. an overall IELTS band score of at least 5.5; or
  4. a TOEFL score of at least 520, or at least 190 in the computer-based TOEFL.


Prospective students are required to submit acceptable evidence of their English proficiency at the time of application to study with The Quality Training Company, such as IELTS document showing their score. This evidence must be no more than 18 months old.
