Academic Entry Requirements

Minimum of Year 10 or international equivalent or students may access the following:

Recognition of Prior Learning:

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) provides students with an opportunity to have their current skills and competencies recognised. These skills and comptencies may relate to units that they are about to commence and as a result may exempt them from studying these units. There is a cost related to obtaining RPL. As the process requires students to gather evidence confirming their competency it is essential that the assessor must hold a qualification at least one level above that which they are assessing. Please refer to The Quality Training Company's Recognition of Prior Learning policy.

OR

Credit Transfer:

Credit Transfer (CT) involves assessing a previously completed course or subject to see if it provides equivalent learning or competency outcomes to those required within their current course of study. It should be used when the student is seeking credit for a course or subject that they have already completed. CT can also be cross-sectoral.They could for example seek to have vocational education and training in school qualifications credited against vocational education and training subjects offered through The Quality Training Company. Please refer to the Quality Training Company's Credit Transfer policy.

Note:

If The Quality Training Company grants an overseas student CT, it may impact on student visa conditions through a shortening of the student's course. Overseas students wishing to appy for CT are advised to contact DIAC to discuss this option.
